BMCHS is committed to meeting your demonstrated need with different forms of financial aid funds.
Parent Volunteer Hours Requirement
Each family with a student enrolled at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School is required to volunteer ten (10) service hours annually. If parent volunteer hours are not performed or only partially performed, the fee is pro-rated at $10 per unserved hour.
FACTS
Our Partnership with FACTS

At Bishop McLaughlin, we continually work for ways to concentrate our available resources on our primary mission of a quality Catholic education. To help us meet this goal, the Diocese of St. Petersburg uses FACTS Management Company to handle tuition payments for all families. All students must have a tuition contract via FACTS, please visit this LINK to sign up. Please be advised that Food Service Accounts are linked through FACTS. You must have an active FACTS account for your child to access cafeteria service purchases.
Financial Aid
Diocese of St. Petersburg Tuition Assistance
The Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant (CSTAG) award is the only grant given by the Diocese to aid families with school tuition costs. CSTAG is available to all Catholic students K-12 who are registered at, or have submitted an enrollment application to an (inter)parish or diocesan Catholic elementary or high school in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Families must have FACTS Calculated Need to be eligible for tuition assistance. There is a $30 application fee for CSTAG.
Parents are required to fill out a FACTS Grant and Aid application for the each new school year. Application Enrollment opens November 1, 2021 and ALL documents must be uploaded to FACTS no later than April 15, 2022. Families will be notified by email from a Diocesan Representative regarding awards in mid to late June. An application is considered complete when FACTS Grant and Aid has received the application and all supporting documentation required for evaluation. Below is the link to fill out a FACTS application form.
Please Note: Generally, the documents needed for uploading is your 2020 W-2 and your 2020 Tax return. If you are self-employed other documents may be required from FACTS.

AAA Scholarship Foundation
AAA Scholarship Foundation (AAA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and state approved Scholarship Funding Organization (SFO) that exclusively serves eligible low-income children through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. Families can apply for assistance through this program, however it cannot be combined with SUFS. You will need to upload financial documents and birth certificates for all minors in the household. For more information, visit: AAA Scholarship Information.
McKay Scholarship
Current McKay Scholarship Families should contact the Florida Department of Education if they have questions concerning their scholarship.
The McKay Scholarship will cease to exist on June 30, 2022. It is transitioning to the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) which will be handled by one of two Scholarship Funding Organizations, AAA or Step Up For Students.
Current McKay Scholarship students will not need to requalify to participate in the FES-UA, but families will need to select a Scholarship Funding Organization (SFO) which will work with them to administer their child’s scholarship. Once an SFO is chosen, the family will be required to indicate their intent to continue using the FES-UA (formerly McKay) scholarship.
